The safety and health of our employees and the protection of the environment are our company’s greatest responsibilities. No job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely to prevent occurrences of accidents and injuries. We always adhere to the following policies:

  • We are committed to providing a safe work environment for all of our employees.
  • We do not want any of our employees to get injured.
  • We expect each employee to be responsible for their safety and to be held accountable for the safety of the people and equipment around them.
  • We consider this responsibility a part of each employee’s performance.
To this end, we expect each employee to:
    • Understand and promote safety for themselves and their fellow workers.
    • Refuse toperform unsafe tasks.
    • Report all hazards and close calls to their supervisor.
    • Use appropriate protective equipment.
    • Follow established safety procedures at all times.
    • Take the time to perform the job safely.

At heart of Trana-tek’s Environmental's Health and Safety program is:

  • Management’s commitment to safety
  • Establishing safety as a job performance issue
  • Establishing responsibilities under the health and safety program
  • Establishing a process for hazard recognition, evaluation and control that involves all employees participating in the continuing development of our Health and Safety Program.

To promote safety awareness:

  • Department managers ensure employees are provided with an individualized training program, tailored to their previous education, experience and job description.
  • Trana-Tek Safety Minutes – conducted on site by supervisors twice a day.
  • Committee members perform unannounced weekly safety audits.
  • Supervisors conduct & document weekly safety inspections.
  • Safety Forms:
    1. Health and safety plans
    2. Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
    3. Near Misses – a tool used as a means to identify unsafe conditions & establish safety control measures before a serious injury occurs.
